Minister Kuldeep Raj Gupta picks up stone During Anti-encroachment drive In Kishtwar | KNO

Srinagar (KNO) :  During J&K Anti-Encroachment drive Senior Leader and Minister of rulling party in Jammu And Kashmir Mr Kuldeep Raj Gupta picks up stone on Sunday when Municipality of Kishtwar razed Shops of his duo Son’s in this drive 73 structures, including 24 shops and 59 extensions, been demolished during the anti- encroachment drive.

During Anti-Encroachment drive Gupta picked up stone, to attack police and officials who was doing their work Gupta got out of control when he saw that the two shops owened by his twi Son’s got demolished in Kishtwar. Two Shops owned by the Gupta’s son namely Vijay And Dheeraj among 73 structures, including 24 shops and 59 extensions, got demolished by Municipal Cooperation which are allegedly encroached upon a busy road and its violation of Jammu And Kashmir prevention of ribbon development act. Sources said that on being informed about the demolition of shops owned by his son’s, Gupta reached on spot and started arguing with the officials.

As the anti- encroachment drive continued,he picked up stone to attack them, but Policemen accompanying the officials intervened. However Gupta has claimed he picked up the stone to hit himself in wake of the huge loss due to the Anti-Encroachment drive. Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary and SSP Yougal Manhas reached the spot and inspect the drive,pacified Gupta. When contacted, Gupta said he just picked up the stone to hit himself.

Saying that the loss of Rs was about 40-50 Lakh got due to the that demolition I was soo perturbed that I picked up a stone to hit my own head. However, people with vested interests projected it as if I wanted to throw stones at police and officials said Gupta. The drive of Anti-Encroachment follows the instructions from the Chief Minister of Jammu And Kashmir State Mehbooba Mufti during her public outreach programme on December 23 2017 were several deputations from Rajouri town approached her and demanding removal of encroachment in the area.He also accused the administration for demolishing the shops of his son’s in violation of law, saying that 408 sq ft of land on the roadside had been leased out to them by the Administration during the Governor rule in 1990.

After one year they two khokhas on that land and later on 1997 the revenue department enterd its mutation in their favour said Gupta. He also said that I was at the residence of Deputy Commissioner were I asked him about the demolition drive and he assured me that my Son’s shops will not be touched said Gupta.
